Postville Express

The first B-29 to drop bombs upon Japan on June 15, 1944, was known as the "Postville Express" of the 468th Bomb Group. The pilot, Maj. Donald J. Humphrey, was from the small northeast Iowa town of Postville. His copilot, 1st Lt. Earl J. Nelson, was from the small town of Genoa, Nebraska.
