HELP NEEDED
If you have information that you would like to share on any of the Nebraska fatal crash sites your contact is welcome. There are two sites in particular that still need the exact crash sites identified. On July 7, 1944, a P-47 fighter plane crashed somewhere near the Bruning Army Air Field while attempting to land. This exact location has not yet been identified. it is probably somewhere near the south end of the north-south runway.

Tobias & Carter Lake Areas
Four airmen bailed out of the B-29 near Tobias on August 26, 1944. One airman was found dead on the ground. The location where the airmen landed is still unknown as well as the people who found them. Also the location in Carter Lake where the other airman was found is still unknown. Two fishermen found the body tangled in his parachute. The names of these fishermen are still unknown.
